Mahadayi Magistrate Arbitration Court

  • The Mahadayi River Water Tribunal on Tuesday ruled that Karnataka will get 13.5 TMC feet of water from the Mahadayi, thus putting an end to the 50-year-old water dispute with Goa, by giving an additional 5 TMC water to the southern state.
  • The tribunal has allocated 5.5 TMC feet water to the Mumbai-Karnataka region for drinking purposes, 8.2 TMC for power generation, 1.12 TMC and 2.18 TMC for Kalasa and Banduri streams, respectively.

RK Singh Dedicates 11 Renewable Energy Management Centres to Nation

  • Power and New and Renewable Energy Minister RK Singh has dedicated to the nation 11 Renewable Energy Management Centres (REMCs) for renewable energy integration. The minister also inaugurated the Northern Region Renewable Energy Management Centre (NR-REMC) .

  • The government’s target of 175 GW renewable energy (RE) capacity by 2022 poses challenges to grid management due to the intermittent and variable nature of RE generation.

One nation-one ration card in 20 States from June 1, says Paswan
